Hello Friends!
Have you heard the news? Winter is over and today it's officially spring!
Clearly, this summer loving girl is super excited and to celebrate, I have the most darling DIY.

You see, I've been hippity hopping my way through a bunch of Easter crafts over the past week in anticipation.
The colors and the sweet bunny faces have been making me smile.
So I can't wait to share all that holiday cuteness with you.
It all started a few weeks ago, when I came across these festive Easter transfers and I had to have them.

Aren't they precious?
Anyway, I placed an order and started dreaming about all the things I could make with them...but hesitantly, because as we all know, sometimes when you order online, you get a stinker.
However, I'm happy to report that when these transfers showed up, they were gorgeous and worked so well. A definite win.
While I admit to going a bit crazy with my DIYs - that's your cue to get ready for more! - today I'm only sharing the fabric Easter banner I made.
Now, if you haven't been here very long, you might not know that I'm kind of obsessed with seasonal banners.
I've made a ton of them for Easter:

- Button Tail Bunny Banner
- Wooden Bunny Banner
- Greeting Card Bunny Banner
- Yarn Carrot Banner
- Ribbon Carrot Banner
Easter Banner DIY With Transfers
I love crafting with transfers. I think it's the easiest way to get a hand painted, custom look without a fancy machine or technical skills.Ok, so to start, I gathered my supplies:
- Easter Transfers
- Cloth Banner
- Green Twine
- Scissors
- Ruler

Once I was settled on a pattern, I simply cut it out with a pair of scissors.

I peeled away the clear backing.

The peeling was easy once I found the edge to grab. It took me a minute to realize that there was a very slight relief around the edge of each sheet for just that purpose.
And placed the transfer on the banner and pressed down so it would stick.

I pulled back the plastic and voila...

They were honestly, the easiest transfers I've ever used for crafting.

I repeated this process 4 more times and used a ruler to make sure that I was applying the transfers in a uniform way on each garland pennant.

I just threaded it through the holes and I was done.

I have to say, I adore it. It's such a bright way to decorate for Easter and it honestly took me less than 20 minutes to make it.
The transfers do have a shine to them, they aren't matte, but that doesn't really show in every light and even when it does, I think it just gives the banner a bit of sparkle.

Which is just what I think spring should have...
Sparkle!

Although, I hear Mother Nature plans on giving us a little sparkle of her own, next week, in the form of snow.
Oh well, with all these adorable transfers decorating my cottage, at least it'll still feel like spring inside.
😉
How are you welcoming spring?

ReplyDeleteMari, you’re making me blush over here…thank you my friend…and I bet you have tons of places to hang one. I would even put one on your gorgeous front porch…once the threat of snow is gone. Fingers crossed that happens soon! Happy Spring!
DeleteThat turned out really cute. I love the transfers, too! There is almost a vintage look to them, I think. I used to make a lot of banners when my grandgirls were little. We had them for every occasion. I still have a couple of them. I think I need to make them again now that I have seen yours.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful rest of the week, Kim. Hugs- Diana
