When fall rolls around, the first thing I think about is pumpkins.
Maybe because I adore the weekends we spend at the farms, picking them out of the patch.
Maybe it's because they remind me of my childhood. Jack-O-Lanterns, Charlie Brown, carved or painted faces and salted pumpkins seeds.
Either way, from late September straight through to Thanksgiving Day, I can't get enough of their sweet, smile inducing shapes.
So it's no wonder that over the past decade, I've made more than my share of pumpkin crafts.
Here's A Peek At My Pumpkin Crafts For Fall
None of them were expensive or difficult to make and every last one of them added a little bit of festive flair to my fall home.Inside and out.
1. My Sweet Carved Pumpkin Planter
This bright orange pumpkin planter is one of my favorite ways to welcome fall, and guests, into my home and add some autumn cheer to my garden.
It's a quick DIY and one that lasts for weeks with a little sunshine and water. Of course, a green thumb helps a bit, too.
2. A Simple White Pumpkin Wreath
This color pairing looks great on a bold colored front door.
It adds a touch of elegance and a lot of wow and all you need is 5 little pumpkins.
3. A Festive Front Door Pumpkin Flag
You can also place a pop of color on your front door with a garden flag.
Plus, these are pumpkins squirrels can't eat. I think that might be my favorite part of this DIY.
4. Elegant Painted Dollar Tree Pumpkins
Moving inside, the pumpkins aren't always orange. I gave several Dollar Tree minis a makeover with glitter and paint.
It was an easy and inexpensive way to carry a little of that white pumpkin elegance inside my home.
5. Upcycled Puzzle Piece Pumpkin Frame
Dollar Tree is also a great place to pick up the supplies for a whimsical pumpkin shaped frame.
Whether you put a fun saying or a photo of a loved one inside, it's a cute addition to the season.
6. Whimsical Puzzle Piece Place Card
And when it comes time to set your Thanksgiving table, you can turn those frames into festive place cards.
Plus, your guests get to take them home, as fun little party favors.
7. A Unique Give Thanks Pumpkin Centerpiece
The center of your Thanksgiving table deserves some flair, as well. So why not decorate a pumpkin in style, with some hot glue and paint.
You can draw flowers, dots, a turkey or add a seasonal sentiment, like I did.
8. A Handmade Painted Pumpkin Pillow
A few years ago, everyone was painting pumpkins on pillows, so I tried my hand at it.
It's an easy DIY, even if you've never considered yourself an artist. Just draw a circle and color it it.
9. Thrifted Pumpkin Cookie Jar Vase
This thrift store pumpkin showed up in perfect condition. There was no need to upcycle, makeover, create or paint it.
And definitely no messy carving and scooping to make room for the flower. Best of all when they were gone, I could put cookies inside.
10. Darling Easy Knitted Pumpkins and A Painted Friend
Ok, so technically I'm sharing two pumpkin projects here.
Years ago, I learned how to knit, and I made several scarves before throwing in the towel.
However, my daughter took her lessons to the next level and whipped up these sweet orange yarn pumpkins...to keep her sister's Jack Skellington company on my kitchen table.
11. Glamorous Glitter Pumpkin
Since we didn't paint all of our pumpkins for Halloween, I had a few leftovers and when it came to Thanksgiving, I decided to add them to my table, as well.
This time I used glitter instead of paint and hot glue. They sparkle and look super elegant throughout the entire fall season.
12. Custom Floral Decoupage Pumpkins
Decoupage pumpkins are always another big hit in the DIY world. You can decorate orange or white ones, brown, green or yellow and real or faux varieties with anything you wish.
Match your decor with blue toile, red roses or sunflowers. The choices are endless with this easy craft.
13. Knock Off Lighted Glass Pumpkin Jar
My glass pumpkin jar was another thrifted find and a high end knock off, one that sparkles with simplicity.
A strand of light was all it took and I had instant ambiance.
14. Scrapbook Burlap Pumpkin Banner
Banners are one of my all time favorite ways to decorate for the holidays and this pumpkin one took mere minutes to make.
I just cut out the pumpkins, added some trim and glued it onto the burlap. Gosh, I love quick decor.
15. Junkie Thrifted Glass Pumpkin Upcycle
These pumpkins are a little out of the box, but when I spotted the amber glass in the shop, I knew what they could be.
And aren't they darling? I just adore the way they look lit up at night, that warm glow was totally worth the buck I paid.
16. Easy Embroidered Pumpkin
Fabric crafts are super relaxing. I love sitting next to the fire or in front of a good movie, stitching away.
So when someone challenged me to try my hand at embroidery, I thought why not. Turns out, it wasn't hard at all, and if I can do, so can you!
17. Curbside Fan Blade Jack-O-Lantern
Trash to treasure crafts are my specialty. I love taking something from the curb and turning it into a piece of art to decorate my home.
When I found a few old ceiling fan blades at the curb, I immediately knew they'd make great Halloween decor.
18. Crafty Splatter Screen Fall Wreath
Now, the next two pumpkin crafts are decorated with pumpkins, using paper napkins I found in a shop.
First up is a Dollar Tree splatter screen that I challenged myself to use to make a creative decor piece.
And I have to say, it may be a little quirky, but it's one of my all time favorite DIYs.
19. A Useful Pumpkin Cutting Board Makeover
I also thought a glass cutting board would be the perfect place to showcase that lovely paper pumpkin patch again.
Plus, this one doubles as decor and a useful holiday helper. Since the decoupage is on the back, the top of the cutting board is safe for your table.
Not back for a buck.
20. Rustic Stenciled Wooden Pumpkin
Last on the list is a wooden pumpkin transformation. A "J" monogrammed Dollar Tree shape didn't belong in a house full of "K" names.
Instead, I stained and stenciled it, making it a more fitting piece to display all season long.
21. A BooTiful Faux Floral Pumpkin
I picked up an adorable Halloween themed stencil pack and paired it with a few floral decals to create one of my all time favorite pumpkin makeovers.
A bit of unexpected wordplay whimsy and those lovely blooms combined to make a stunning decor piece for fall.
Well, there you go.
Lots of pumpkin crafts.
Hopefully, one of them caught your eye and inspires you to get creative and make some of your own.
And frankly, I may be joining you.
Because, after all, you can never have too many pumpkins in fall.
๐
Which pumpkin would you make?
Happy Crafting, Friends!
