And The Winner Is...

Hi friends! I'm just popping in quickly today to announce the winner of my Tidy Living Shelf Bundle Giveaway.

Congratulations to Monkey!

Winner
This was a very popular giveaway. Seems like organization is big on everyone's list.

Especially when it comes to shoes. So many people left comments about shoes. I am happy to hear that I am not the only one with a giant pile of them at the back door.

Pile Of Shoes At The Back Door
I'd like it noted that only two pair belong to me.

Even though the closet is only a few feet away.

Looks like I've got some work to do.

If you feel the same way and want to scoop up a shoe rack or those pretty shelves, it's not too late. You can still get a discount.

Just use my code Exquisite and get 10% off your order at Tidy Living.

Then you'll have more room and more money for more shoes.

Although, I'm not sure that's how this is organizing thing is supposed to work.

But it sounds good. 😉

Happy tidying!

  6. I laughed seeing that pile of shoes. At least they're all careful to take off their shoes at the door, something more and more families are doing these days.

My husband is very good about taking his shoes to the bedroom, notice I didn't say to the bedroom closet. I once counted 7 pairs of shoes of his that didn't quite make it into the closet!

    1. What is this aversion to the closet? It seems to be a universal thing...of which I am also guilty! ;) Shhh...

  7. If I let them, the girls would leave a pile like that in the boot tray by my kitchen door....but I toss them down the steps when they dry, along with their coats and scarves they throw over the stair railing. Honestly if I didn't they would leave them there for a month! Drives me nuts. Hey, at least I'm not as bad as my friend who throws her kids stuff into the pool...even in winter! :)

    1. You're good. I threaten and then don't follow through. I keep telling them that I am going to gather what is left around and put it in a bag in my car. I guess I'm as lazy as they are!! ;)

  8. My idea of organizing my shoes was to throw them in a basket LOL My mudroom (if you can call it that) is too small for shelves darn it! At least there's room for coats :)

  11. We live in a very simple little ranch house...no extra family room or den, 1300 sq ft. One of the best things we did a few yrs ago was to add on a laundry/mud room off the kitchen! We used to always come in the front door & everyone's shoes ended there. Now our family entrance is the mud room with shoe racks just to the right of the door as you come in! I just slide my slip-on shoes right onto the rack off my feet! And my guest entrance stays nice & clean.

    1. It sounds like a super smart add on, Jenny! In our old cottage, the front door opened into the kitchen. There was no foyer, no closet, just kitchen. When we moved here, I was thrilled. I had a small foyer off the front entrance with a closet for shoes and coats! Guess what? No one uses that door...ever!! Everyone, guests included, come to the kitchen door. Best laid plans... ;)

  15. Ah yes, shoes! Such a struggle, because you need so many pairs! LOL! I have a mud room, which does help, thankfully. Congrats to monkey, what an exciting giveaway indeed!
