About a month ago, we began the process of redecorating my daughter's bedroom. In my mind, I had this project wrapped up by the time school started. Well, now we are looking at Halloween costumes and the room is still in limbo. What's the hold up?

Lighting. She can't seem to find anything she likes in the stores we've been to. I get it, she's limited to what's on the shelf and she hasn't found her muse.

Then yesterday I showed her the beautiful collection from ParrotUncle.com and she was suddenly inspired. There are so many different choices, in so many truly unique styles, she had a few favorites picked out in no time flat.

Very, very tempted, but for now, we'll stick to her bedroom.

She is going for a "rustic, Boho, modern style" and while I am not totally sure what that means, she certainly does and these fixtures are among her top choices.

    oh how I would love to get the Rustic Style Bell-shape . My kitchen redo is almost complete except for new lighting and 2 of those would be the perfect items , and just my style as well...

    Wow, they really have a lot of different and unusual products. My sister has been looking for candles that have a remote and they have some in the $1.99 tab. I think that she was expecting to pay a lot more than that if she could even find them. So far our looking around here has been pretty unsuccessful. Lots of cute stuff.     They are all very pretty and they always look better in a neat room. Don't fret, I have the same problem with my teens. One of them is horrendous when it comes to picking up after herself. Even thoug h I have found a specific place for everything. she refuses to comply...er... work with me!

    I am all over the industrial double layer wall sconce! I need a new light for my side porch. How nice that your daughter has such great style and that she gets to pick the décor for her own room. This site definitely has nice lighting at reasonable prices,

    oh yes! the creative diamond is the choice for my little wren house!
    it would be perfect.
    i don't know your daughter's age. but kind of you to leave her the choice.
    all I know is... it was very dangerous... when i was 7 years old...
    my mother allowed me to choose my very own wallpaper.
    chartreuse background with pink and grey pussy willows! LOLOL!
    i'm thinking not even the illustriously beautiful shades from parrotuncle.com could make THAT look good!

    They contacted me a couple of weeks ago. I chose an under $60 red task lamp for my desk. I thought about getting something more expensive, because they didn't give me limits, but I really liked it. They said it was on back order, so I don't know when I'll get it. Looks like some of the same companies are finding us!

    Hey, Kim. Can't wait to see that bedroom! Parrot Uncle is great! Being a copper freak, I like the Retro Industrial White Pot Cover light. It's big enough and love that copper mechanism, and at that price, I can afford to buy the second one ... if I win the first :) Also LOVE the Vintage Style wood base little table lamp with the clear glass shade. Those battery candle sets in the $1.99 category are unbelievable. I think you mentioned using those in an earlier post. I have lots of parent and pet people "readers" that would like those.

    Love the choices and I love ParrotUncle. I've had my eye on a few things because the light fixtures in the house need replacing..contractor grade just doesn't get it and mama needs a new chandy for the bathroom! The one I've been drooling over is the flush mount chandelier with glass bubbles! Cool giveaway!! Hugs!!

    While it is not like me at all...I really like the modern desk lamp...have the perfect spot for it, too.
    Isn't it fun to see our kids gaining confidence in their own choices and KNOWING what they want? I think it is all part of the growing up process and it is kind of bittersweet when you think you used to pick everything out FOR them!

    What a fun giveaway! It just so happens that we are needing some new lighting as well in our new home! Our living room has no ceiling light, and so all the light comes from lamps, and I would love that rustic wooden table lamp, it would be a really neat addition to our room. I have never heard of this company before and checked out their website. I did find a great light that I might order for our small kitchen re-do coming up, and it was for a great price, but I won't enter the contest as it wasn't in that section and I really don't need any other lights, I have too many already..
